Wisdom from Yoda.

In the vein of finding spiritual ideas in non-traditional places, Yoda has presented me with a little piece of a big big puzzle. (hey whatever happened to that puzzle! ;)

Im watching Revenge of the Sith for about the third time since i got it a few nights ago.

"The fear of loss is a path to the dark side.
Attatchment leads to jealousy, the shadow of greed that is.
Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose."

God thinks so too, I think. Or at least from what He's shown me. Attatchment, and more importantly the fear of loss, and fear in general is very controlling. This has manefested itself in my life in so many ways. I am learning. and getting some serious reprimands. LOL always getting yelled at. (well...metaphorically speaking. too bad the puppy face doesnt really work on God.)

Dont get me wrong, i dont mean its not ok to hurt when we lose something, but living in the fear of losing it, you cant really love whatever that is. because then love isnt freely given, its given out of control by fear. The fear of loss makes love about yourself, controlled by selfish ambitions.

Yeah, love freely--thats what unconditional positive regard must mean.

Got to admit its getting better, getting better all the time.

I went iceskating today. I discovered that that is a really good outdoor activity. Good balance of socializing and exercize. thats healthy. cos we all need a little unconditional positivity ;).
